Miss D at Blades Ball
I had the amazing opportunity to perform my close up magic and mind reading for guests at the Blades Ball held at the Sywell Aerodrome, Northamptonshire a couple of weeks ago.
What a fantastic event. The team did an amazing job, the guests were all dressed up to the nines, the weather was glorious so we got to be outside. We also got front row seats to see the fabulous air show that had been arranged.
Whilst people were basking in the sun I went around and performed my close up magic and mind reading. It was so much fun and peoples reactions were incredible. I managed to read a couples mind and guessed which playing card the guy was thinking of, the reaction to that was astounding. They then followed me round for most of the evening completely bewildered by it all, they are probably still thinking about how I managed to do it now.
Close up/table magic was a perfect choice for this event. Groups of people were standing outside talking and drinking champagne, lots of people didn’t know each other so it was great to get groups together so they could watch my close up magic, well close up. It always leaves people with things to talk about afterwards and when it came to sitting down to dinner it helped people sitting with those they didn’t know.

I also performed table magic. I made a woman’s ring disappear and then re appear in a ball of fire, she didn’t seem that pleased when I gave it her back, she later told me she’s been after a new one and dropping hints to her hubby and was secretly hoping I’d lose it. You should let me know in advance next time, I am definitely good at making things disappear, its kind of my job 🙂
Being a female magician is always an advantage in this hot weather, I get to walk around in cool floaty dresses unlike the poor male magicians suited and booted in all weathers.
